1 Purpose of Collection
By registering a profile or submitting your CV, you ("the Data Subject") acknowledge and agree that JobLynk will collect and process your personal and special personal information (as defined by POPIA). This data is collected specifically for the purpose of:
- Evaluating your suitability for current and future career opportunities.
- Facilitating the recruitment process by matching your profile with job specifications.
- Verifying your credentials (including education, criminal record, and credit history where relevant).
2 Disclosure to Third Parties
You expressly consent to JobLynk sharing your personal information with:
- Potential Employers / Clients
- We will share your CV, skills profile, and assessment results with companies seeking to fill vacancies.
- Training Providers
- For the purposes of contacting you with self-development and training opportunities.
- Verification Agencies
- Third-party service providers used to conduct background checks and qualification verifications.
- Technical Partners
- Our IT and software providers (e.g., ATS and CRM systems) who host our database securely.
3 Limitation on Further Processing
JobLynk will not use your personal data for any purpose other than recruitment and career-related services without your additional consent.
4 Data Retention & Security
- Duration
- Your information will be stored on our secure database for a period of 5 years from the date of your last interaction or until you request its removal. This ensures we can contact you for future opportunities.
- Security
- We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or destruction.
5 Your Rights (The Data Subject)
In accordance with POPIA, you have the right to:
- Access
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectify
- Update or correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Object / Withdraw
- Withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your data at any time (subject to legal or contractual obligations).
- Delete
- Request the permanent deletion of your profile from our systems.

You have read and understood this POPIA Consent & Data Sharing Agreement. You consent to JobLynk processing your personal data and sharing your profile with potential employers for recruitment purposes in line with POPIA.
